Climate change is a global problem that has a significant impact on the world’s ecosystem. The Earth’s rising average temperature not only affects the weather, but also the life of flora and fauna. Meanwhile, in tropical rainforest ecosystems, changes in rainfall can cause natural disasters such as more frequent and larger forest fires. Climate change is also changing the distribution patterns of invasive species. These species are often more adaptive to climate change, so they can outcompete local species that have adapted to certain ecosystems for thousands of years. In many cases, the invasion of these species results in a decline in ecosystem quality. Ocean ecosystems are also threatened. Rising ocean temperatures cause acidification, which has a negative impact on organisms such as shellfish and plankton which play an important role in the food chain. If these basic organisms are affected, the entire marine ecosystem will experience serious disruption. Other impacts of climate change include an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods and droughts. These disasters not only damage ecosystems, but also affect human communities that depend on natural resources for their survival. Overall, the impacts of climate change on the world’s ecosystems are complex and diverse. Therefore, mitigating and adapting to climate change is an urgent priority to maintain the sustainability of ecosystems and life on Earth.
